Below is an image I took which appeared in The Sun on Saturday 8th March. The image of Padraig Harrington and Paul McGinley was taken in Portmarnock Golf Club during a Q&A session at the Irish Golf Writers Association Awards which was sponsored by Carr Golf Group.
The Audi quattro Cup Final was held at Mount Juliet golf course, followed by a reception in the Lyrath Estate hotel. After a summer of qualifying competitions held throughout Ireland the pressure was on for the trip of a lifetime to the Audi quattro Cup World Final at the Los Angeles Trump National Golf Course.
It proved to be a close finish with the winners Clement Hehir and Tom Barrett representing Audi Cork. Good luck to the guys on what should be an amazing trip!

This year's Volkswagen Conference was held in Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny and finished off with VolksFest which is no ordinary event and will be held in numerous Volkswagen dealers throughout the country. With great food and German beers served by authentic Fraulines plus live 'Beer Keller' music the evenings entertainment was great. To top it off PJ Gallagher did a stand up comedy show and had some quality jokes, if only I could remember some now!
I feel very privileged to be the photographer for ORBIS Ireland and this year's trip to Ethiopia for the Great Ethiopian Run was an amazing experience. After a last minute change of plan we were unable to take part with the other 35,000 people who ran the Great Ethiopian Run in Addis Ababa so we headed south on landing and spent four full days having a look at the project's that ORBIS Ireland have set up.
ORBIS Ireland is a charity working to eliminate preventable blindness and restore sight to rural villagers in the poorest regions of southern Ethiopia by 2015. Over a third of children in Ethiopia are affected by trachoma, a blinding, yet completely preventable eye disease. If left untreated this slowly progressive and painful disease robs its victims of their sight, their childhoods and ultimately their lives.
It never ceases to amaze me how happy everyone is given how little they seem to have and it is a timely reality check in the lead up to Christmas. A run was organised on very short notice in Arba Minch and the ORBIS participants ran with around 200 locals for a great personal experience. I hope the images below give you a little insight into Ethiopia and the amazing and beautiful people that live there. As part of the EPA Congress there was food, drinks and entertainment at the Guinness Storehouse and here are some images from the excellent musicians.
It was great to go to Carton House for one of the last corporate golf outings of the year before winter takes hold. The course has changed a bit with the first tee of the O'Meara course brought closer to the main house and the 18th green is now in front of the main house which will save the weary legs and bring the Clubhouse a good bit closer! Some great scores posted on a glorious day!
The Dot IE Net Visionary Awards 2013 where held in Smock Alley Theatre and the room set up and venue where superb. Now in its 15th year the awards are designed to recognise the very best of the Irish Internet Industry. Well done to the 15 category winners on the night and congratulations to Michele Neylon of Blacknight.com who was crowned Overall Net Visionary Winner.
The Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain & Ireland (AAGBI) held their Annual Congress in the Dublin Convention Centre this year. With 800 attendees, presentations in the Auditorium, scientific programmes and workshops going on all the time I was kept busy. Had a great night at the Annual Dinner in the Guinness Storehouse and on such a beautiful evening I don't think you will get a better view of the city, plus you can have a pint in your hand!
Every two years the European Parking Association organises an international congress that discusses the perspectives and challenges of stationary traffic in connection with the traffic development in the cities of Europe. This year the 16th EPA Congress was held in the Convention Centre Dublin and was attended by experts from all over the world. As well as the conference during the day attendees and their guests enjoyed a drinks reception in Trinity and an evening in the Guinness Storehouse. It was a great 3 day event organised by Abbey Conference & Corporate and the Irish Parking Association.
These were taken at one of the Primark Leadership Development Programme learning events in Carton House. Attended by senior leaders from around the business, the schedule was hectic but with some great speakers and working groups, everyone enjoyed the event in great surroundings.
