There are a few perks to my job and no better way to spend a few hours than at a track day! I had a great afternoon at Weston Airport photographing the Home of quattro event. This 3 day bespoke event was superbly organised and managed by Pluto Communications and it was one of the best set designs I have seen, amazing what you can do in an aircraft hangar!
Guests took part in three different Audi Driving experiences and best for me was the spin around the track in the Audi RS6 when we got over 230 km/h or 140mph! Hopefully next job will be to go and pick up one of these myself!!
This year's Volkswagen Conference was held in Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny and finished off with VolksFest which is no ordinary event and will be held in numerous Volkswagen dealers throughout the country. With great food and German beers served by authentic Fraulines plus live 'Beer Keller' music the evenings entertainment was great. To top it off PJ Gallagher did a stand up comedy show and had some quality jokes, if only I could remember some now!
As part of the EPA Congress there was food, drinks and entertainment at the Guinness Storehouse and here are some images from the excellent musicians.
Every two years the European Parking Association organises an international congress that discusses the perspectives and challenges of stationary traffic in connection with the traffic development in the cities of Europe. This year the 16th EPA Congress was held in the Convention Centre Dublin and was attended by experts from all over the world. As well as the conference during the day attendees and their guests enjoyed a drinks reception in Trinity and an evening in the Guinness Storehouse. It was a great 3 day event organised by Abbey Conference & Corporate and the Irish Parking Association.
Following the success of the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Pull for Sight, ORBIS Ireland teamed up with GECAS and Shannon Aerospace to host the ORBIS Plane Pull for Sight event on Saturday 20 July 2013. The ORBIS Pull for Sight saw teams of 25 pull an aircraft over 12 feet at Shannon Airport. The aircraft - weighing a massive 85 tonnes - is the equivalent of 21 elephants or 42 family cars! A great day out in Shannon and raised a great amount in sponsorship, congrats to everyone involved!

Last November I went to Ethiopia with ORBIS Ireland as their official photographer to cover the Great Ethiopian Run. ORBIS are currently displaying a collection of images I took from the trip at the Lighthouse Cinema in Dublin. The images capture the amazing spectacle that is the Great Ethiopian Run, the simplicity of life in Ethiopia and the life enhancing work of ORBIS. The exhibition will run from today Friday 3 May until Thursday 9 May. If you don't get a chance to drop in to the exhibition here are some of the images which are on display.
