It was a great night at Castleknock Golf Club for the Carr Golf sponsored Irish Golf Writers Awards 2016. There was a highly entertaining Q&A with Padraig Harrington and Shane Lowry. Winners on the night included Shane Lowry (Professional of the Year), Leona Maguire (Women's Amateur of the Year), Paul Dunne (Men's Amateur of the Year) Ian Bamford and Claire Dowling (Distinguished Services). Here's the write up and images from the February issue of Irish Golfer Magazine.
Got this image published in the January 2016 Golf Digest Magazine US edition which has a circulation of over 1.5 million! It was a great few days down at Waterville Links for the World Invitational Father & Daughter Golf Tournament with Carr Golf Travel. As far as jobs go it's one of the best weeks of my year!!
Here's the double page spread in Golf Digest Ireland magazine from the Arklow Golf Links qualifying round for the Golf Digest Volvo Open 2015. A great event with some seriously good prizes on offer if your game is good enough on the day!
Here are some images I took at the Audi quattro Cup Final which took place at Mount Juliet last year. The winners represented Ireland at the Audi quattro Cup World Final in Los Angeles. This years winners will be off to Dubai so good luck to everyone involved in the heats. The article and images appear in this month's Golfing Magazine
Below is an image I took which appeared in The Sun on Saturday 8th March. The image of Padraig Harrington and Paul McGinley was taken in Portmarnock Golf Club during a Q&A session at the Irish Golf Writers Association Awards which was sponsored by Carr Golf Group.
The Audi quattro Cup Final was held at Mount Juliet golf course, followed by a reception in the Lyrath Estate hotel. After a summer of qualifying competitions held throughout Ireland the pressure was on for the trip of a lifetime to the Audi quattro Cup World Final at the Los Angeles Trump National Golf Course.
It proved to be a close finish with the winners Clement Hehir and Tom Barrett representing Audi Cork. Good luck to the guys on what should be an amazing trip!

I have played and worked at a lot of courses in and around Dublin but this was my first trip to St Anne's Golf Course on Bull island. It was a stunning setting nestled on the edge of Dublin Bay with views back over the city, the sun was out but a strong enough wind made scoring tricky. This was RSM Farrell Grant Sparks Golf Outing for 2013 and some good scores were posted. All guests received a printed image in a folder on the day of their four-ball as a memento.
Got myself a media pass for the Irish Open and got into Rory McIlroy's press conference and spent a good hour standing beside him and watching him at the practise range, you gotta love access all areas passes! Here's a few images and it's a shame he missed the cut but well done to Paul Casey, ranked 163 in the world before the event.
If Carlsberg made jobs this would be the one for me! I spent four days in Waterville in Co Kerry covering the 24th World Invitational Father & Son Golf Tournament. This prestigious annual event organised by Carr Golf Travel at one of the most beautiful courses in Ireland, Waterville Golf Links, saw teams gather from the USA, Ireland and Europe.
Thankfully the weather was kind although sun tan lotion and the waterproofs were both needed. Below are some images from the event but here is the link to all of the images over the four days World Invitational. I was lucky enough to meet a great bunch of people who had some serious craic both on and of the course! Congratulations to Robert and Rudi Butler who won the event and the 25th anniversary should be some event next year!
The Audi quattro Cup FInal was held at the Kilarney Golf and FIshing Club after regional heats throughout Ireland. The winners Brian McCarthy and Bill McGarry from Cork will represent Ireland in the Western Cape Province, South Africa in November. Thankfully the weather was kind to us and it was great to photograph this event and each fourball received a framed picture before the awards ceremony.
Here is some coverage from Rev.ie and Autobiz
